Course objective

 

Learn how to understand debits and credits in one day!

By the end of this book keeping course you will understand the principles of double-entry book keeping and be able to post journals with confidence.

 

Course content

 

  • Profit and loss account: income and expenditure
  • Balance sheet: assets and liabilities
  • Book keeping: debits, credits, nominal ledger & chart of accounts
  • Bank receipts and payments
  • Debtors, creditors and control accounts
  • Posting journals
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Fixed assets and depreciation

 

Each attendee will receive:

·        a full set of course notes;

·        further examples for practice; and

·        help, if required, from the tutor once they have completed the course.

Our Introduction to Book Keeping Course is suitable for accounts assistants, accounts payable staff, bookkeepers, credit controllers and graduate trainees.  It will also benefit those about to start professional exams (AAT, CIMA, ACCA), and may prove a useful refresher course if you have exemptions from foundation papers.
